We do not believe that God is after your money. Nor do we believe He is impressed
with the earthly wealth you or I may have accummulated. Instead, He is more
interested in seeing us accumulate heavenly wealth.
ChristCurrency.com is the official website of Everyday Believer Pty Ltd, an private
not-for-profit company registered under the laws of Australia. From here we link to
a number of initiatives that are currently being undertaken by us.
The name 'Christ Currency' is a deliberate reference to the Kingdom of God where
priorities seemingly are different to the world we live in and where 'value' is derived
differently as well. We do not subscribe to the 'prosperity gospel' - on the contrary!
Therefore, by using this name we mean not to somehow invalidate or
diminish the supremecy of the Kingdom of God, or to act in an irreverent manner
towards the God we serve. On the contrary, we wish to point out that when people
see 'Kingdom currency' in the way Scripture describes it, they (and us) will adopt
new priorities in daily life in an ongoing manner. As such, our attempt is to get
us and others involved in the things pertaining to Christ in a more meaningful way.
What we offer here is not all that can be done. It represents a mere selection.
The name 'Christ Currency' primarily is a reference to a passage in the Gospel of
Luke where Jesus explains that having ‘moneybags in heaven’ by far outweighs
having ‘moneybags on earth’. As such we like to encourage the right type of
investment by looking at heavenly treasure.

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do
not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief
approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your
heart will be also. (Luke 12:33-34).

In quoting this verse we do not suggest that all believers should summarily sell
all they have unless they decide to do so following sincere, personal reflection
and prayer.
